GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
- After 55-60 days, when the plant develops strong stems and new shoots, passion fruit is ready for harvest.
- Harvest method: Select ripe fruits with deep-colored skin and use scissors or a knife to cut the stem, avoiding damage to the vine.
- With proper care, the plant will continue to flower and bear fruit, allowing for multiple harvests throughout the season.
- Scatter the seeds evenly on the soil surface, then cover them with a thin layer of soil (0.5 cm) to prevent drying out.
- If sowing in rows, maintain a 10-15 cm gap between plants to allow for better growth.
- Watering: Water gently 1-2 times a day to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
- Fertilization: After 10-15 days, apply organic fertilizer or diluted NPK fertilizer to promote strong stem growth and early flowering.
- Prepare the soil: Choose loose, nutrient-rich, well-draining soil such as light clay, organic soil, or sandy soil. Remove weeds, loosen the soil, and mix in organic fertilizer or decomposed manure to improve fertility.
- Seed treatment: Soak the seeds in warm water (2 parts boiling water + 3 parts cold water) for 4-6 hours. Then, wrap them in a damp cloth and let them sit for 6-8 hours until they start to sprout. This speeds up germination.
