GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the soil: Use loose, fertile, well-draining soil such as sandy soil or organic compost. Remove weeds, loosen the soil, and mix in compost or decomposed manure to boost nutrients.
- Seed treatment: Soak Peach Fig seeds in warm water (2 parts boiling + 3 parts cold) for 4-6 hours. Then wrap in a damp cloth and leave for 6-8 hours until seeds swell or sprout to speed up germination.
- Planting: Sow the Peach Fig seeds evenly in prepared soil, then cover them with a thin layer of soil about 1-2 cm deep. If planting in rows or pots, leave a space of 40-60 cm between each seedling to allow the tree to grow wide and healthy.
- Watering: Water lightly 1-2 times per day to keep the soil moist but not soggy. Avoid overwatering, as fig seeds prefer slightly damp conditions to sprout.
- Fertilization: After 2-3 weeks, when the seedlings start growing leaves, add organic fertilizer or diluted NPK to promote strong roots and healthy young plants.
- Harvest time: After 2 - 3 Months of planting, when the figs are large, plump, and the skin turns deep purple, they are ready to harvest.
- Harvest method: Gently twist or use scissors to cut the fruit, leaving a short stem attached to keep the figs fresh longer. With good care, the tree will continue to produce new fruits, allowing you to harvest regularly throughout the year.
