ADVANCED INSTRUCTIONS
- Preparation: Soak seeds in warm water (around 40°C) for 4–6 hours, then wrap them in a damp towel for 1–2 days until they start cracking.
- Sowing: Mix the tiny seeds with fine sand and scatter them evenly over moist, well-draining soil. Cover with a light layer of soil (about 0.5 cm) and gently mist with water. Seeds will sprout in 7–15 days.
- Sunlight: Place the pot in partial shade or under a sunshade net (culantro thrives in filtered light; avoid harsh direct sun).
- Watering & Feeding: Keep the soil consistently moist by misting 1–2 times a day. Once seedlings grow 3–4 true leaves, feed them with diluted organic fertilizer or worm castings every 10–15 days.
- Timing: Ready to harvest around 45–60 days after sowing.
- Method: Cut the outer mature leaves close to the base, leaving the inner young shoots so the plant can continuously regrow year-round. Pinch off flower stalks early to keep the leaves tender and flavorful.
