GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
- In 6-8 weeks, your Portulaca will bloom daily around 10 AM, filling your space with vibrant colors.
- Portulaca naturally drops seeds and regrows, or you can collect seeds for replanting. You can also propagate it easily through stem cuttings.
- Scatter the seeds directly on the soil surface without burying them too deep.
- Water gently to keep the soil moist but avoid overwatering.
- Place the pot or planting area in a sunny spot, as Portulaca blooms best with full sunlight.
- Prepare the soil: Choose loose, nutrient-rich, well-draining soil such as light clay, organic soil, or sandy soil. Remove weeds, loosen the soil, and mix in organic fertilizer or decomposed manure to improve fertility.
- Seed treatment: Soak the seeds in warm water (2 parts boiling water + 3 parts cold water) for 4-6 hours. Then, wrap them in a damp cloth and let them sit for 6-8 hours until they start to sprout. This speeds up germination.
